02-06-08 Recording Updates
We begin tracking drums in south Florida next week and will track everything else here in Tampa with Murphy. The album should be on track and finished being mixed and mastered by the end of Febuary. We just finished shooting new photos for the album as well as promotional shots. 11-19-07 Press Release

It is with great pleasure that we announce the addition of new permanent drummer GUS RIOS to the line-up of Resurrection. After auditioning numerous players over the last couple of months, we are pleased to have the opportunity to play with Gus as a permanent full-time member of the band. Gus’s Drumming and writing credits include; Malevolent Creation, Upon Infliction, and  Kult Ov Azazel as well as Co-writing and producing Malevolent Creations’ newest release- Doomsday X. Gus is a natural fit for Resurrection in terms of playing style and is dedicated to creating our next full-length and supporting the album on tour. This relationship we all hope will be a long-term situation.
Resurrection will begin pre-production in January and will enter the studio in February to record their as-of-yet untitled full-length album scheduled for an end of April 2008 world-wide release via Massacre Records in Europe and a through a not yet named label for the rest of the world.
2008 plans also include a European and North American tour and numerous festival appearances world-wide. 

Other news includes:

We are happy to announce that Resurrection has finalized a new relationship with Germany’s MASSACRE records. The contract with MASSACRE is for the European territories only and we are close to finalizing a deal for the remainder of the world via another US based label.  Current plans include recording the new as-of-yet untitled full-length in February which is due in stores world-wide at the end of April.  We will announce our other relationship (for the rest of the world) in a few weeks, as we draw closer to finalizing the agreement.

11-14-07 Update
Well, we are finishing up negotiations with a few record labels and it looks like we will be in the studio in Febuary for a worldwide end of April/early May release of a new RESURRECTION album that is currently untitled. Sorry that it's been so long for an update, as we have been busy with all of this stuff and writing our asses off.  We will put out a press release announcing our new label as well as drummer soon. My brother Kevin is super busy with his band ADRIFT and has stepped down as drummer for Resurrection. No big deal, we all remain tight and respect each others ambitions. I wish him only the best. We have been busy auditioning drummers and will release that info soon too!! Get ready for a few real big announcements very soon!!!!

8-27-07 New Songs Posted!!
We have posted COWARD and UNHOLY here on our website and COward on our myspace page. James Murphy posted UNHOLY on his page. Thanks James!! We have recieved over 500 plays IN LESS THAN 24 hours so far and are struggling to keep up with the feed-back!!!! Thank you everyone for your support. Being dormant for a few years has been the best thing for our fan-base and our fan-base is larger and stronger than ever. Goes to show you that genuine metal is timeless!!! Thanks again.

8-22-07 L.A. Festival Download
Sunday night we co-headlined L.A.'s Gathering of the Bestial Legions Festival with Malevolent Creation and Possessed at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood. The turn-out was excellent and the show was sold-out! We had a very strong showing of Resurrection fans and we sold better than expected in merch as well!!!. Thank you everyone for your support, and we will definately do this fest again. We had a blast performing in LA and got to hang out with some really cool people and bands.  I also wanted to thank Gerardo at our former label Nuclear Blast for taking time out of his busy schedule to help us get around out in LA.

8-14-07 EP update
James (Murphy) had a few unforseen delays, but we are entering the final stages of mixing the new 4 song recording. John will be in the studio working out the last details on Wednesday, 8-15-07. We will have this disc ready for LA and to send out to media.

8-13-07 Update
We are gearing up for our West coast festival appearance in LA at the Gathering Of The Bestial Legions III festival. We are headlining the Front stage and go on at 11:30PM. We will have merchandise with us including: Re-issue EMBALMED EXISTENCE CD's, Full color tour Shirts, Chick Shirts, Logo shirts, AND Full color EMBALMED EXISTENCE long-sleeves, as well as our new EP produced by the legendary James Murphy.. 8-12-07 New Photo's posted
Photo's from our Tampa Shows have been posted on our myspace page in the photo section. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported. We recorded the show for a future DVD/CD release.


08-08-07 Update
The Tampa show at the Crowbar in Ybor city was killer!! This was the first show with drummer Gabriel Lewandowski. We recorded the show for a future live release or possible DVD. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us. We head out to LA next week for the Gathering of the Bestial Legions festival which will for sure be kick-ass!! See you there.

07-04-07 Re-mix almost complete
James Murphy (legendary guitarist turned producer/engineer) is in the final stages of re-mixing our new 4 song EP entitled Ritual Slaughter. The disc was originall recorded in December at Red Room Recording with former Morrisound lead engineer Mark Prator. We decided that another set of ears was necessary for the final mix and Murphy is really doing a kick-ass job with the mix. This disc also features guitarist Jerry Mortellaro (Diabolic/Unholy Ghost) as second guitarist.

06-10-07 Shows added
We have added Tampa and south Florida headlining dates. Check the tours/shows pages for more information. We have also been asked to be one of the featured headlines at Los Angeles's "Gathering of the Beastial Legions" festival in Hollywood. All of the shows should be pretty kick-ass, we hope to see as many of you there as possible.

Resurrection bassist supreme Scott Patrick secures an endorsement deal with Fender in addition to his current portfolio including Madison amplification and Digitech. Good going Scott!

04-10-07 Jerry Mortellaro joins as second guitar player.
Jerry Mortellaro (ex. Unholy Ghost/Diabolic) recently joined the band as the second guitar player. Jerry brings alot of experience both recording and stage to the band. We are currently rehearsing for some select Florida shows and festival appearances. We will post more on this later as the dates get confirmed.  Please welcome Jerry to the Resurrection line-up.

03-13-07 Possible Eastern Europe Mini tour
We are currently in negotiations for a short 8/9 date Eastern European tour which would put us in Moscow for 2 gigs, Kiev, Latvia, Estonia, Helsinki, and a couple other cities.  The proposed line-up is: SHADOW'S FALL, DEICIDE, RESURRECTION, and one other unconfirmed band. We will keep you posted on this as the details get worked out.

02-01-07 Re-Mixing EP
We have hired legendary guitar virtuoso/ producer JAMES MURPHY to re-mix the new 4-song EP. James has a very respected talent as a mix engineer and has produced many recordings for various labels.  Check out the new Daath record or the new Burning Human (Jason Bittner from Shadows Fall other band) and listen to the production, pretty heavy stuff indeed. We will re-post the new tunes once the mixing is finished.

We finished mixing the new 4 song disc and are now beginning to shop it around for a new label.

12-18-2006 New EP Almost Finished!
We have been very busy this month with the recording of our new 4 song EP. The EP is tentatively titled: "DEATH BY DESIRE". We will do the final mixing on wednesday, December 20th. We will send out bulletins when the songs are up for you to check out. Finally.

11-13-06 Recording Plans Finalized!
We have finally been able to schedule recording of our new EP for December.  We will be recording 4 new songs titled: DEATH BY DESIRE, UNHOLY, COWARD, and RITUAL SLAUGHTER.  We will post the new material on this website as well as on our Resurrection myspace page. We will be shopping for a new label as well with the disc.

09-01-06 Recording Plans pushed back
We have decided to push back the recording of our new 4 song EP in order to work on a couple of new songs as well as a re-write of a song on our original demo. Also, Scott has been busy with the new Council of the Fallen EP and Kevin has been busy with commitments with his band Adrift. We will try to re-book the studio time for sometime in October, if all goes right.

07-01-06 Resurrection make recording plans.
The band will head into the studio in August to record a 4 song disc. Tentative titles include: Death By Desire, Coward, & Unholy. Recording will take place at Red Room Recorders owned and operated by Mark Prator long time Morrisound Studios engineer. Two of the new songs will appear on the re-release of the now classic "Embalmed Existence".

06-01-06 Resurrection welcomes newest member.
Scott Patrick has joined the ranks of Tampa's Resurrection filling the position of bass. Scott is an accomplished bassist who also plays in the band Councncil of the Fallen, based in St.Petersburg, Florida.
